Georgia Boxer Stud Service

Prior to a breeding agreement, we require from you:

1. A photocopy of your females AKC Registration

2. A legible pedigree

3. Recent photographs of the female

Following an agreement to breed, it is required that you:

• Provide a veterinary certificate of a negative Brucellosis, dated no more than 14 days before the mating. We will need a photocopy of all lab reports for our records.

• A record of current vaccinations including Rabies.

• If female is in our care, you pay all veterinary costs at the time of service, if veterinary care is needed.

• If female is in our care, a boarding fee of $15.00 per day will be charged if stay is longer than 1 week.  Food for female must be provided by female’s owner.

• The female’s owner must be willing and able to provide care for the litter and agree that puppies resulting from this breeding shall not knowingly be sold either directly, or to an agent thereof, who sells outright or consigns to a pet shop, kennel, or individual whose purpose is mass production, wholesaling, or retailing of purebred dogs.

• Female must be in good health, at least 18 months of age and under 7 years of age, and accompanied by negative Brucellosis test results on letterhead from a licensed veterinarian.

• Owner of the female hereby agrees to furnish owner of stud with color photos of all surviving pups in the litter.  Owner of stud is not obligated to certify the litter registration form until said photos are received and stud fee is paid in full.

• Owner of female hereby agrees that owner of stud will not be held liable for any sickness, injury, accident, or death of said female while under the care of the owner of the stud.

• If the female changes ownership while in whelp, all terms of this contract remain in force, and this contract is to be given to and explained to the new owners.

• Prior to an agreement to breed, our responsibilities to you are as follows:

  • Stud dog is guaranteed to be in the same good health as required of the female.

  • To provide a photocopy of our stud’s AKC Registration if requested.

• All proposed females must meet the following criteria:

  • The female must be in good physical condition. She must be free of fleas and ticks and have a bath before she arrives.

  • The female must have a stable temperament.

STUD SERVICE POLICY

1. The stud fee is $750.00 and due at time of mating.

2. Two or more live puppies, seven days old, constitutes a litter.

3. If the female does not whelp any living puppies, a return service will be given the same female at the next season without an additional fee. Any other conditions/agreements will be noted and initialed by both parties.

4. The owner of the female warrants that this female has not been exposed to any stud dog prior to her arrival and that he/she will protect her from exposure upon her return home. A litter is not eligible for AKC Registration if the serviced female is serviced by a second male during this heat cycle, nor is the owner of the female entitled to a free repeat breeding.
